All, as a follow up, I found out the issue with cdrecord and the fifo
problem. It took a rebuild of the source RPM off of the YDL 2.0 sources
CD. I'm not sure why the original installed package of of the install CD
has the issue, but rebuilding solved the problem. Rebuild that sucker and
you can burn with confidence again... oh and a IO buffer. 8')
