Are you sure your ISO image was not corrupted? In the same ftp
directory as the ISO images there is a text file with the MD5
checksums of the images. You can download that file and use md5sum
to find out whether your copy of the image has the correct checksum.

I had a very hard time getting good copies myself. I now have little
trust for FTP resume. Every time I had to stop a download and resume
it due to a hung connection, the image ended up with a bad checksum.
