Hi all
I'm new to the linux world but I'm enough confident with IRIX so I'm not
a real newbie but I've a problem I can't resolve.
I've donloaded the ISOs of YDL 2.0 from the ftp site I've installed it
on my home computer (power PC 8600/200/128M/built in 4Mb graphic
card/2Gb+2Gb HD) after little problem caused by a strange Xconfigurator
behaviour (after choosed Monitor model and resolution allowed by the
monitor it starts X at maximum 800x600 8 bit or 1024x768 8bit deformed)
I've run Xautoconfig and now runs perfectly.
I've so decided to install it in my office computer ( a similar Power PC
8600/200/320Mb/ATI NEXUS 128 PCI/2Gb+9Gb HD).
My Mac in office is dual headed. The first monitor (Apple Vision 1710)
is ran by the ATI card the second one (Sony 200GS) by the internal 4Mb
card. I would like to preserve this configuration 'cos I use it for
graphic apps.
After the installation I've rebooted the machine and waited for the
splash screen but a black screen is occured.
A message said:
fatal server error
no screens found
After that I've tried to use Xconfigurator and last but not least
Xautoconfig again...but same error.

BTW:
Sorry for the lenght of the letter and for my english.
I've read that there's a way to run YDL in a dual head environment with
the XFree864.0 made by a japanese. I've downloaded the file and tried to
install...but without a graphic help I don't know how to operate.
I've gunzipped the file in the temp directory and run rpm -i <file> but
it says that is not a rpm package.
Any hints or suggestions
