Version 4.1.0 is the latest and includes a re-write of some of the device
drivers. Some people have had a bit of difficulty upgrading - there have
been a few posts to this list about the difficulties. Personally, I didn't
have many problems but I've been using YDL for a couple of years.

With X, the development of device drivers has proceeded in parallel with the
main code - patches become available for the drivers independently of the
major releases of X.
