Oops! I'm wrong ... see below.

Oops, my mistake. I only get responses (but still the broken ATD garbage)
when in the benh 2.4.7-pre6 kernel.

When I boot into the 2.4.4-1a YDL kernel, I get different dmesg output,
and the modem doesn't respond to anything in minicom.

PowerMac Z8530 serial driver version 2.0
tty00 at 0xd58d6020 (irq = 22) is a Z8530 ESCC (cobalt modem)
tty01 at 0xd58dd000 (irq = 23) is a Z8530 ESCC

I'm going to grab a kernel from the linuxppc.org page. Perhaps they are
working on it.
