ok, the development workstation install script will not complete on my
powerbase. it hangs immediately after it finishes installing packages.
however, the X installer will run to completion if you use the recommended
"home user" package set. All you have to do after that is fire up gnorpm
and start selecting the compiler and build packages that get left out.
