I got these instructions from the following link:
ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/powerpc/openoffice/633b/OpenOffice.README_ppclinux

There's also a headline on penguinppc.org regarding OpenOffice 633 with a
link to a PPC binary

Install Instructions (for Single Workstations)
----------------------------------------------
This thing is huge, you need probably 250 meg free at least.

tar -zxf oo633b_installer.tar.gz
cd installer_633
chown -R your_favorite_userid:your_favorite_group ./

The installer is graphical (use XFree86)

To install OpenOffice simply run the following command:

./setup

Then follow the prompts and remember to browse to select
your jdk 1.3 installation location.

****NOTE**** The installer is still slow. After answering some
basic questions you may want to go get a coffee until the
final Completion Message (and button) appears.

To run OpenOffice cd to your installation site and run
the following command:

./soffice

Hope that helps.
