Howdy,
I've recently installed YDL Champion 1.2 on a G4 Server here at my school and have been prepping it for my "boss" to use.
To that end, I've attempted to get gdm to start automatically in runlevel 5. I made a script for /etc/rc.d/init.d/ to manage gdm, and used the run level editor to add it in.
When I boot to runlevel 3 and then after logging in as root execute "telinit 5", gdm comes up great and I can log in.
If I set runlevel 5 as default in /etc/inittab, when gdm comes up it won't allow keyboard input. The mouse works, but I just can't type in the login field.
I'm running Helix GNOME freshly downloaded with XFree 4.0.0.16c from Howarth and kernel 2.2.15pre19 from Paulus.

Thanks in advance for your help,
                Austin Brower
