Yes... I've tried a lot of them, and the only one that seems to compile for me and work properly is smtm (that is, the only GUI one I've gotten to work).
Do a search at www.freshmeat.net and you should be able to find it.
It's a Perl/Tk stock ticker, and seems to be totally stable... haven't had any problems with it to date.

But I'm sure there's something better our there... anyone?
