Subject: newbie:problem with TCP/IP on 8500

At least I think it's a TCP/IP problem. Our network is run on WinNT.
Clients are configured using DHCP. 'pump' appears to run OK, because the
status of eth0 looks good. I can ping 127.0.0.1, and I can ping
10.0.0.229 (eth0). But I can't get to anything else on the network. When
I try to ping any other address, I can see activity on the switch, but I
get no response. My book and the man pages don't seem to be helping me
any. What am I missing?
