David,
my graphics only comes up as 8 bit colors. I put that
append line in my conf file. But it still comes up as 8 bit.
I have a Hitachi 751 19" inch monitor. I'm sure that *this* is not
an uncommon monitor.

I run Xconfigurator and set it as Hitachi CM751 and then select
16 bit (1024x768). I've tried the other sizes too. Do my choices
have to match the setting that I entered in my yaboot.conf file?
Or can I select something different once I start Xconfigurator.

By they way, what does it look like when I startx in kde? Well,
split screens, all black screens, and other scary stuff!

Sincerely, R. David Salinas
