Hey all,
Thanks for the help this morning with netcfg. appreciate it. I'm
having troubles compiling my kernal for my imac RevA. here's the issue.
i've gotten the 2.3.50 kernal to compile, very well. After making
vmlinux i replaced the original System.map file with the one created from
compilation. I also patched xkb and XF86Config from the directions on
www.linuxppc.org/BlueG3. now, when i boot into 2.3.50 (using bootx btw),
it complains that it cannot find drivers for the keyboard and mouse (still
original hockey puck and imac kbd), and then i get an X respawning too
fast error.
Any thoughts what i'm doing wrong? I tried moving back to 2.2.6
and a precompiled version of 2.2.15pre9, and they both found the mouse and
kbd (complained about the System.map version), but they both too, ended up
with the X respawning too fast error.

any thoughts?

thanks a lot
-brett
