According to the instructions in the readme in the mol kernel_patch folder,
I did this:

cd /usr/src/linux
make clean
make xconfig
make clean
make dep
make

Now when you say that I should "compile the kernel without the option to set
module versions," what exactly does that mean? How do I do that?
BTW--I just finished the update to the latest mol (.9.48).
