Actually, I didn't just change the partition number, unfortunately. Also, I
have no rescue disk. This is, IMHO, the most frustrating part about Linux
on an iMac. You *can't* make a rescue disk. I don't have a CD burner, YDL
doesn't support USB Zip drives, and there's no floppy drive. I've been
getting silence on this problem, though, which indicates to me that I'm
screwed. :( Oh, well. Life goes on; I'll reinstall this weekend, if I
don't hear any advice, and deal with it. Thanks, Don.
