YDL 2 and 2.4 kernel

Subject: YDL 2 and 2.4 kernel

Installed the 'everything' option from YDL 2.0 CDs. They put a bunch of
kernels on my Mac partition. So I chose the 2.4 kernel to go with yaboot.

Everything's working ok so far, but I noticed the 2.4 kernel that's put on
the mac drive is v 2.4.0-pre_ac5_0b, whereas the kernel on the install CD is
2.4.4-1a.

I'd like to install the kernel, headers, and modules. What 2.4 kernel should
I use? Is it better to download and install a recent kernel or use what's on
the YDL CDs? What's the most stable 2.4 kernel presently?

TIA
