This would be because anybody with half a brain knows that a $799
iMac is better than a $2000 TBird (courtesy of one of our favorite RISC
processors). :)

I personally run RedHat on a 1 GHz TBird and YDL on a whole
bunch'a Macs, and YDL wins hands-down for reliability and
ease-of-configuration. The first time I installed RedHat (this was after
I had used YDL for a while, so I musta been spoiled by the easy install) I
spend the better part of 2 days getting the dang Ethernet card
functioning......... and this was a 486!! The TBird would kernel panic
whenever I tried to insert the module for my sound system, and I
eventually had to recompile the 2.2.19 kernel with a backport of the
drivers from 2.4 series kernels... The YDL version of activating sound:

        % modprobe dmasound

        Wow - MUCH better.... :)

FYI - this is a PowerPC Linux mailing list... your comments are
similar to the promotion of the Evil Empire on this list. ;)
