Thanks, Dan, yes, I found it eventually. Foolish me was looking for vmlinu*
... ;-). Anyway, I started up 2.4.4 and then X and the sound isn't working
... the pffffffft noise at full blast scared a few colleagues here (and
disturbed the sleep of some others).

Where can I find a comprehensive Sound FAQ for either kernel (2.2.19/2.4.4)
for PowerBooks?

Oh and the KDE 'The Matrix' screen saver works out to attract women - I
almost fell of my chair when the beautiful, intelligent woman showed up in
my cube and asked me if she could have a copy of that. Well, she wanted it
for her Windoze box ... and I couldn't quite comply ... <sigh>.
