Hi all,
Has anyone at all tried to Install YDL2.0 on a IBM PPC?
I am just looking for a tip on how to get started. All the ramdisk images
and boot images are too big to fit on a floppy.
I do not think there is a Open Firmware command to boot a particular
file from cdrom. (maybe I am wrong.)
Is the key to "try to boot from a network connection"?
Can I use any of the kernels from YDL 1.2. I am familar with its
install philosphy and I am keen to go to YDL 2.0
I have a number of different RS/6000 PPC pci machines. I am keen to
try installs on any RS/6000 that even half works. From there I can build
a list of various RS/6000 machines that YDL 2.0 works on.
I just really need a starting point from anyone at all. I understand MACS
seem to rule on this list. Maybe someone out there knows something?
Thanks in advance
