This is simply a type of DSL, Asyncronous DSL (meaning there are
differing transmit and receive speeds).

This is only necessary if your ISP requires that you use PPPoE to use
their service. Your ISP will be able to answer this question.

This means that you already have a version of the PPPoE software
installed on your system. We can get to how to go about upgrading this
if it is needed later.

I will happily help you get your system configured. However, there are
many different variables that need to be defined with regard to your
situation and ISP.
