I too have heard that bogomips are a poor indicator of performance,
and I'm far from sure as to what they *actually* mean. However, I
suspect more is generally better. ;-)
Here's what I got from our G4/400:

zero pages : total 0 (0Kb) current: 0 (0Kb) hits: 0/1962373 (0%)
machine : PowerMac3,1
motherboard : PowerMac3,1 MacRISC Power Macintosh
L2 cache : 1024K unified
memory : 448MB
pmac-generation : NewWorld
It's a server, and is not running X, but it's definitely a fast and
efficient machine for our purposes.
Anybody got a G4/733 for informal comparison?
