I too have heard that bogomips are a poor indicator of performance,
and I'm far from sure as to what they *actually* mean. However, I
suspect more is generally better. ;-)

Here's what I got from our G4/400:

processor : 0
cpu : 7400 (G4)
clock : 400MHz
revision : 2.9
bogomips : 796.76
zero pages : total 0 (0Kb) current: 0 (0Kb) hits: 0/1962373 (0%)
machine : PowerMac3,1
motherboard : PowerMac3,1 MacRISC Power Macintosh
L2 cache : 1024K unified
memory : 448MB
pmac-generation : NewWorld

It's a server, and is not running X, but it's definitely a fast and
efficient machine for our purposes.

Anybody got a G4/733 for informal comparison?

Gawain
