Hi All,

Christopher was correct: the DMA drive is "hde". Unfortunately,
cfdisk replies with "bad signature on partition table." However it
looks like fdisk is willing to wipe out my current Mac OS partition
and the unallocated half. I have, it seems, three hex options 82 =
linux swap; 83 = linux; and 85 = linux extended. Perhaps I missed a
key option? I read that ext2 is 83, but then what is 85? Ideally,
it would be nice to set up a swap partition, a Mac HFS+ partition, a
transfer partition, and ext2. Is that possible?

Thanks for any advice,
perry phillips
