Hey, just got a new Titanium Powerbook G4 (yay) but I cannot get YDL to
install on it. I decided to try it via ftp so I'm not using the CDs. I'm
using yaboot from a partition and I think I have the latest ramdisk.image.gz
and vmlinux files (March of 2000?) gathered from the yellowdog ftp site.
Anyhoo, booting as install-novideo gets the installer up and running except
for the following issues.
1- the partition checks during the boot complain about "lost interrupt" on
every partition of hda and hdc. I don't know what that means.
2- Once the installer welcome screen is up the keyboard refuses to function.
I cannot go any further because I can't hit return for the OK button. It
just won't work. No keys will do anything. Tried using a USB keyboard too,
but that did nothing as well.
Anyway, am I using the wrong ramdisk or vmlinux file? Has this been an issue
for G4 powerbooks before? I can't find any FAQ info on it.
