you should be able to pass arguments to the kernel, I don't know about
bootx but for yaboot you can add: adb_buttons=103,111 to the append=
line, just make sure you have a space between each entry. That will make
the F11 and F12 keys serve as the 2nd and 3rd mouse buttons, at least it
does on my computer.
