why are the sources different? i know this is a stupid question but..

also.. since you knew that question Hollis.. could you tell me why the
normal source tree for XFree86 4.0.2 is giving me trouble w/ my new G4
Powerbook. I saw a posting about a diff out there .. but i'm also a
little perplexed as to why this is needed.
