        I meant, "OS X, despite its name, does not run an X Windows
        server to generate the Aqua UI, so you can't run anything
        needing X Windows under Aqua."

        In other words: Apple doesn't bundle an X Windows server with
        OS X so you can't run X Windows applications out of the box.
        Yes, you can install your own X Windows server as others have
        pointed out.
