Hi guys (again).

I did a clean install with kernel source onto an empty 4 GB drive -
everything went well. This is YDL Champion Server 1.2.1, kernel
version is 2.2.17-0.6.1

Then I recompiled the kernel with
make config
make dep
make

and I now have a brand new vmlinux in /usr/src/linux which I copied
to /boot. However, this does not tell BootX that there is a new
kernel? On my x86 box, I used to do a 'make lilo' or 'make zlilo'
with lilo.conf done correctly, but this does not seem to be the case
here since there is no lilo. What do I do now? - Yes, I did read the
Kernel-HOWTO which tells me that I have to di lilo - <G>.

I did enable altivec, so maybe I get this MaxPowr G4/400 working this
time. the out-of-the-box kernel doesn't see the 1 MB BS Cache and not
the AltiVec stuff, although it tells me it's a 7400 @ 410 MHz.

Best regards,
Chris
