Sorry if my question below is not related to YDL 2.x development issues.
However, I need a little help from this wonderful community of Mac-based
Linux users in my quest to convert from MacOS to YDL for prime-time
(production mode) office work. I have searched the archives, but didn't
find a usable answer to the following question:

What's the best tool and/or method to use to synchronize my
user directories (and files) between my desktop YDL machine
   (a B&W G3) and my laptop YDL machine (a Wallstreet G3)?

I'd like my user directories and files to be the same on both machines,
so I can take my office with me while on travel. I'm primarily using
OpenOffice and Ximian Gnome's Evolution emailer on these machines.

Coming from the MacOS world, I used to use SynchonizePro for maintaining
synchronized directories and application files (user files and program
setting files). I'm hoping that there is a similar tool in Linux.

Many thanks for your advice!
Bob Beaton

P.S. Regarding my previous question about YDL's status for prime-time
office work, I've found Ximian Gnome (and its suite of applications) to
be quite nice, especially the Evolution emailer. The file/directory
browser (Nautilus, I think) still lacks the speed of Good Ole MacOS, but
its usable and cute to look at. For now, I've said "Good Bye!" to
everything KDE due to lack of stability (frequent crashes in the office
apps) and limited file-level portability (could not easily get my files
out of its emailer and spreadsheet).
