Subject: unknown host

my internet connection is now working however, one reboot over two
konqueror says a "unknomn host" where knot says "unable to resolve
hostname". In the same time i've found the preferences of kmail set back
to default (not all but user identity). The their is app writting default
parameters back, which one could i suspect ??
