How to set hostname in YDL 2.1?

I'm new to YDL 2.1. I've been using YDL 1.2.1 for a couple years now,
and loved it.

The way I used to set the hostname was to edit a few files:

/etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit
/etc/sysconfig/network
/etc/HOSTNAME
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

I've done this in YDL 2.1, and most things seem to work properly, but
I've recently tried to add printing support for my StyleWriter 2400.
I installed it, and kicked lpd, and this is what I got:

get_local_host: hostname "devil.localdomain" bad

Any thoughts on what I'm missing?
Maybe the /etc/hosts file?
