The current status is, AFAICT, that it doesn't work out of the box but if the config and tmp files are cleaned sufficiently it does work. Unfortunately, the exact sequence of cleans seems to vary between users -- read 'man yup', find the various commands that sound like they might help and try them until it works.

Now my yup question: sorry if this is documented and I've just missed it but -- is there a way to do a 'yup update' so it updates installed packages but doesn't prompt you to install new packages?
