hehe, that reminds me of the quote from a good friend of mine:

"the essence of advanced technology is to make something so simple a monkey
pushing a button can use it. by this definition... linux is NOT
technologically advanced"

nuff said. don't get me wrong, i love linux. really do. greatest thing that
ever happened to me (cept for that whole marriage thing back in '99 - love
you sweetie :). but if you're a casual computer user who just wants to surf
the web, play games, and/or download porn... linux isn't for you.

It depends what you want and what you realize you're getting into. I'm
really happy with my TiBook and YDL but I'm not a big multimedia user and I
was prepared for a lot of headaches. (Althoughthe headaches exceeded my
expectations -- Yellow Dog people: if Apple releases new revisions for
models that you claim are supported, please update your site to reflect
that!)

The Slashdot guy wanted a laptop that would be 100% supported out of the
box. A Radeon TiBook isn't the answer for him, although it is for many of
us.
