Actually, I just tried it, ran yup config dist, changed it to 2.1, and told
it to yup list updates, and it seems as if it's a direct upgrade path.......

I wasn't able to directly update things from 2.0 to 2.1 without first
editing
the /etc/yup.conf and replace occurences of 2.0 with 2.1. It has been
awhile, but you may have to go thru some cleaning up of caches, etc. man
yup
will give you the options for cleaning up and reconfiguring things. Before
the clean-up, you could try:

yup list updates

and see if anything new pops up. If so, then you can do the update. I
selectively updated things, since I have a slow link. I also bought the ydl
2.1 CD/book just to support the folks.

The ydl-general mailing list has a variety of posts on this topic. You
might
want to search on that for more detailed information. Doing the update
wasn't a big deal, nor was figuring out what needed to be changed in the yup
configuration file.
