Hi,

I'm trying to set-up a ppp link to my network at work. I think i have
figured out that the dial-in server at work is looking for pap
authentication. I have setup the dialer script and pap-secrets file. When
i issue the pppd -d command the modem dials and connects to the server and
then dies. Looking at the /var/log/messages file i notice:

serial connection established
Using interface ppp0
connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttys0
unsupported protocol 'Novell IPX control protocol' (0x802b) received
Could not determine remote IP address
Connection Terminated

What do i need to do to get this working? Am i missing a module or support
in the kernel somewhere?
