THats just it, I have and Tim hasn't - I also tend to agree with those people
who feel it's a heat issue - kept cool (like any high speed drive) and they
are fine - I have to 4 year old cuda here, i ported the mac they were in to
cool them, I did the same for cheetahs ( all of them were scsi) with out the
fans they wouldn't last either - without the fans, you could indeed fry an
egg on a cheetah.
