Yes, it works, so I guess it means the modem is recognized by the kernel...
Perhaps I should upgrade ppp, like Ake Svensson suggests. Unfortunately, the
2.4.1 version is not on the YDL 2.1 CD...
Is it plausible that a too old ppp provoques a "modem doesn't respond" in
kppp?
