/dev/cdrom is usually a symbolic link to the actual
/dev entry for your cdrom. is the cdrom scsi or ide?
if scsi, is it the same SCSI id? if ide, is it hooked
up the same way (primary/secondary, master/slave)?
remove the link /dev/cdrom and create a new one to
where the cdrom is now.
