The adb_buttons thing never worked for me, but
I followed a link from the www.imaclinux.net faq to the
excellent instructions at http://people.a2000.nl/omoerbe/ .
This works for me as long as I remember shift-numlock.

Of course, I'd give up my mouse if I could get MOL to work...
