Subject: Kppp and Red Hat Dialer Problem

Hello,
I have a problem with Kppp and the red hat dialer crashing on both my G4
(running Champion Server 1.2)and my dual pIII 600 x86 system running RH6.1.
The problem is as followes: After dialing with either Kppp or Red Hat Dialer,
the system will allow me to authenticate and start ppp on the remote system I
am logging into, but then when I hit "continue" I get an error beep and the
modem resets. I have downloaded the patches from red hat, but this still does
not solve the problem. I know that it is not the modem because I can dial in
using minicom. Red Hat has been NO help and I am at the end of my rope with
this. If anyone has a answer, please respond. I thank you all in advance
for your time and effort.
