You can download ben's kernel at: ppclinux.apple.com/~benh.
As for installing it, it isn't difficult. There is a simple document with
instructions at: ftp.linuxppc.org/blueg3/kernels/v2.2.10/ (I forget the name
of the file, but it should be obvious - like Instructions.txt or something).
