the reason it does this is that linux reserves all of your memory and then
deals it out as needed. this is why when you search for something the
first time it takes a while but the next time you do it it does it
quickly. the information that is needed has been stored for later
use. check out www.dartmouth.edu/~john/lppc-server/cache/408.html. but
relax this is the way that linux works
