Unfortunetly it now stops part way through the actual install process, ie the part where it is installing the various packages I have selected. There is no error message, it just stops part way through one of the packages (it has stopped at a variety of different ones). It sits for awhile, then the cursor eventually stops blinking. I've left it for up too an hour when it does this, but it does not change.

My first installation was a ten minute affair that went perfectly, so i'm kinda confused as to why it is now having this problem. I've made no hardware changes, the only difference is that the machine is currently not on a network, but I wouldn't think that would be the problem.

Sounds very similar to our problem when our usr partition was too small.
