I down loaded Xpmac.special and installed it on my G4 Sawtooth (AGP Rage 128 Pro) using this procedure-

#gunzip Xpmac.special.gz

#chmod u+x Xpmac.special

#cp Xpmac.special /usr/X11R6/bin/

#cd /etc/X11

#rm X

#ln -s ../../usr/X11R6/bin/Xpmac.special X

#startx

also, #startx -- -depth 24 mode 17 (also tried 15, 19, 21....)

I still get the "misaligned data in rage128im.c" message.
