I've tried an Adaptec card that was supposed to be PC-only before
with good luck. This was in MacOS as opposed to Linux, and we all
know how much the MacOS loves PC hardware... It worked fine when I
used the drivers that were for a Mac card with the same chipset.
This card displays the "Ctrl-A at startup" message on a PC, but seems
to be fine on the Mac.
