        HTML is the worst thing to happen to e-mail. Ever. A decent
        mailing-list package these days can automatically strip/convert
        HTML to plain text. This should be done for all lists since
        you're never going to convince people that "pretty" e-mail is
        stupid.

        In the mean time, try using Pine.
