Extended Keyboard, need help setting up

During the installation of yellow dog linux I checked extended keyboard.
However my numberpad is still not working when I am in linux.. The interesting
thing is that when I run MOL <mac-on-linux> the number pad does work in that
program. What do I need to do in order for my extended keyboard to work?
