The four-slash rule only applies, all else being equal, to a vmlinux
placed in the Mac OS System Folder. If the vmlinux sits at the MacOS's
root directory two slashes would lead the way to it.

i applaud your effort to document all this stuff, as it was, for me, the
hardest part of the YDL install.
