I've got half a gig on / and a gig on /usr. Surely that's enough? =)

Hmm. I didn't do anything screwy like customize an installation; I went
with defaults all the way. But now I'm looking to get extra fonts, now
that it's Christmas and all.

it gets fairrrrly far: the text slides, the screen goes black, it looks
promising and then comes back to the console. I *think* it's really a
font problem and not a screen configuration problem. But I may be
wrong. Thanks again for the assistance. . . .
