('binary' encoding is not supported, stored as-is) yes dmesg says it should be on /dev/sr0 but it doesnt exist. What
major/minor numbers should I use to create this? this is what cdrecord
-scanbus gives me:

[root@localhost /root]# cdrecord -scanbus
Cdrecord 1.8 (powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2000 Jörg
Schilling
cdrecord: No such file or directory. Cannot open SCSI driver.
cdrecord: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'. Make sure you are
root.

any sugestions?
thanks, robert
