Has he tried booting from the CD? It works. The replacement file only
alters the "linux" and "linux-novideo" labels - the install labels are
fine.
After that, he should follow the directions on pages 6.9 and 6.10 in the
manual for information on how to install yaboot onto his hard disk for
permanent use (using the downloaded bootscript file).
