Did you try booting your Mac with no proprietary extensions present and then
double clicking BootX.sea?

You need to put the Bootx extension in the extensions folder - this loads
before other extensions and brings up the linux/MacOS startup dialog.

The linux CD runs under linux so it needs to boot a linux kernel from the
RAM disk (as far as I know). You select the RAM based kernel from the BootX
startup dialog. So getting the BootX dialog up at startup would help a lot.
